  • Tickets are available online here. Walk-ins are welcomed through 7:00pm if there is still space available during that particular time slot. We recommend purchasing your tickets online prior to the event to guarantee entry.
  • Tickets are non-refundable, but you can change the date and time of your visit if there are available openings and you are not changing the quantity of tickets. Learn how to modify your reservation here.
  • Entry Times: 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, 6:00. 6:30, and 7:00pm. (All on-site facilities, including the museum store, close at 8:00pm.)
  • LOCATION
    The Farmers’ Museum is located at 5775 NY- 80, Cooperstown, NY 13326. Google Maps will do the best job of leading you to our door. Click here for additional details regarding our location.
  • PARKING
    Once you reach the museum, look for signs that will direct you to the nearest parking.
  • Please arrive at your reserved time. The walking tour may take you 30-60 minutes.
  • Proof of purchase is required for entry. Please bring scannable paper tickets or have the tickets displayed on your phone – for each member of your group.
  • It may get very cold! We advise visitors to dress comfortably for being outdoors and wear footwear appropriate for uneven terrain and varied weather conditions.
  • The Crossroads Café will be open during the event, serving warm beverages and snacks.
  • Restrooms are available outside the Crossroads Café (downstairs under Bump Tavern) and near the Admissions Desk at the Museum’s front entrance.
  • Entry Times: 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, 6:00. 6:30, and 7:00pm. (All on-site facilities, including the museum store, close at 8:00pm.)
  • Photography and video for personal use are welcome on the Museum grounds. Please share your photos and video on social media – and tag us! (Drones are not allowed on or near the grounds.)
  • The use of sleds for transportation is prohibited.
  • Pets are not permitted on the Museum grounds. Service animals are welcome.
  • The Farmers’ Museum is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the Museum grounds.
  • The safety and well-being of our visitors and staff are of the utmost importance. To ensure a secure venue for all, the possession of firearms, fireworks, explosives, incendiary devices, knives, or weapons of any kind is prohibited at The Farmers’ Museum’s property.
  • Under normal weather conditions, pathways are accessible to wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons. Please note, however, that paths may be muddy, wet, icy, or snow covered. Pathways are lit but be aware of lower light levels in certain locations on the grounds.
  • The event requires approximately a half mile of walking, and there are slight changes in elevation both up and downhill from our upper parking lot. We advise all visitors to wear appropriate footwear for the weather and the terrain.
  • While none of the light installations use strobe lighting, some installations include motion lighting, and some of the installations may include music.
  • Please arrive at your reserved time to ensure optimal numbers of visitors on the grounds during each ticket session.
  • Grounds transportation will not be available.

  • Ticket Refunds: There are no refunds unless the event is canceled. If an event is canceled, you will be notified via email and can change your reservation to a different date and time if you wish. Otherwise, you will receive a full refund within 48 hours.
